History of ITB
Founded in 1966, the International Tourism stock market (ITB) started quietly with a forum of five counties within a Fair aiming at import-export. Before long the spaces to exhibitors were enlarged from 580 sq.m. to huge pavilions currently of over 150,000 sq.m. Also, the number of operators in the sector has had and exponential increase from 250 to 100,000 of today. Currently, Asia is an area of growing interest, the number of exhibitors has reached 10,000 while the number of visitors has come to around 180,000.
